Preliminary Designer Members

A Fashion graduate from the London College of Fashion, UK, I also hold a Bachelors Degree in Economics and a Diploma in Fashion.
Commencing the ‘Graduate Runway Show 2010’, I received London College of Fashion's 'Best Surface Textiles’, the ‘Nina De York Fashion Illustration’ and the British Graduate 100's 'Fashion Graduate of the Year' Awards. Recently featured as 'New Talent' by Vogue Italia my work has garnered appreciation worldwide from the likes of Vogue.co.uk, GraziaDaily.co.uk, Elleuk.com, ID Magazine (New York), Please (France), Collezioni (Russia), Milk X (Hong Kong), TokyoFashionWeekend.com (Japan), Fashion156.com, LaundryMagazine.com (London).
A strong patron of eco-fashion my work has been written about on Ecouterre.com, (London) as well as Ftvindia.com along with being showcased at ‘Ethical Just Got Fabulous 2010’ (London) a pop up ethical produce exhibition.
I was nominated to participate in The Textile Institute’s ‘Design Means Business’ exhibition held at Her Majesty's Treasury, Westminister and the 'London Design Festival 2010'.
Thanks to a repertoire of design, production, merchandising and retail, my understanding
of fashion, colour and application of texture are sound. Alongside setting up a design
label I am in the process of creating an organisation that would foster the longevity and revival of arts and crafts globally, ensuring a future that will feel ethical, organic and vibrant alongside creating a vertically integrated system that is based on traditional techniques and social welfare.
A recent member of the 'Fashion Design Council of India', I am currently working on a collaboration project with an american artist Amy Sol for a social enterprise based in a weavers village in rural Madhya Pradesh, India that works for women empowerment, the collection produced would be part of a travelling exhibition to be showcased in the US early next year.
I am also working on developing a contemporary textile collection based on traditional Indian craft for a high-end home textile label.
